Safety Requirements

• Recalls: All items must be checked for recalls before drop-off. Use the following websites:

  • www.recalls.gov

  • www.cpsc.gov

• Functionality: Battery-operated items must have working batteries.

• Manuals: Operation manuals should be attached to the item. If originals are lost, many can be downloaded online.

Presentation

• Items should be clean and well-presented — these are big sellers!

• Large items must be set up by the consignor.

• Tags should be securely fastened without damaging the item.

Drop-Off Instructions

• Multiple or large items can be dropped off at the back door (instead of the side door used for smaller items).

  • There is a buzzer next to the door — someone will assist you or open the door.

• Upper-level items: Attach a hold ticket for items going upstairs.

  • A station at the bottom of the stairs provides all necessary supplies.
