Safety Requirements

• Recalls: All toys must be checked for recalls before drop-off. Use:

  • www.recalls.gov

  • www.cpsc.gov

• Batteries: All battery-operated items must have working batteries.

Presentation

• Make sure all pieces are together, ideally in Ziploc bags. Tape the bags closed to prevent separation during the sale.

• Items should be cleaned as thoroughly as possible.

• Large items must be set up by the consignor.

Tips for Cleaning:

• WD-40 works well for removing crayons/markers.

• Mr. Clean Magic Eraser removes most other stains.

Tagging

• Tags must be securely fastened without damaging the item.

Pricing

• Follow the ¼ of retail guideline for pricing.
